The Precision Scan
The proprietary ActivArmor™ process includes a scan (precise to 0.5 mm), creating a 3D model of the patient’s limb, and designs a completely individualized and fitted splint based on the physician’s specific positioning and instructions for each patient’s unique needs.
Scan can be conducted at partner clinics or at ActivArmor BodyScan location.
Expert Device Design
Years of working with Doctors and Clinics in the US has created unmatched expertise in 3D cast/splint design. The scan is received from ActivArmor Canada, and an expert technician creates the device which is precise to .5mm of the patients limb dimensions.
The Device is customized to the specific instructions of the prescribing Doctor, and can include special openings for incision access if required (fully adaptible for various healing technologies).
Canadian Manufacturing
The completed print file is sent back to the Canadian Regional Print Centre for production (using a specially formulated brand of ABS filament which has been thoroughly tested for biocompatibility, strength and microporosity.
The printed device is then hand finished to a high standard with a smooth and glossy finish, and equipped with ties or straps, and then boxed and couriered to the clinic/patient.
Getting your ActivArmor Cast
Casts are couriered or delivered to the patient's clinic, and the physician or technologist will remove the patients temporary splint and put on the custom ActivArmor device. The device can be designed with quick release bungee clasps or with non-removable ties for more restrictive casting.
